About Me

I was diagnosed with breast cancer at 39. My husband had a life-altering debilitating stroke at 49. I've experienced the pain of being underinsured and unprepared firsthand; it's hard fighting for your life while, at the same time, paying for your life. The average cost of both cancer and stroke treatment can range from $100,000 to $300,000 — Like many, we were one emergency away from financial ruin. When Stroke struck, it felt like a final blow! I'm transforming my pain into a power.

My Why SYNCIS

My "why" is carved from every scar and every bill I've faced. It's in the tears I've cried and the strength I've found through those tears. It's in the hope I see when I help a family secure their future, guide a young person from an underprivileged background toward a debt-free college education, and ensure that no one else has to abandon their dreams or work an unfulfilling job due to lack of actionable knowledge, preparedness or financial constraints.
